JACO
ROSSOUW
Jaco Rossouw, clinical psychologist, has been in private practice
in Cape Town, South Africa for the last 18 years. He consults with
children, adolescents, adults and families, from a cognitive-behavioural
therapy approach. Jaco is a founding member of the Centre for Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy. He is involved in developing and providing training
in CBT to other mental health professionals. A longstanding interest
in the CBT treatment of PTSD has culminated in a research project
on treatment of adolescents with PTSD. Jaco is also involved in
other research projects as a member of the Centre for CBT.

- Anxiety disorders in Adults and Children (PTSD, panic disorder,
OCD, social phobia, GAD, phobias)
- Anxiety specific to Children (childhood fears, excessive worrying,
exam and test anxiety)
- Sleeping Disorders in Children

- Trichotillomania (hair pulling, nail biting and skin picking)
- Tic Disorders (Including Tourette's Disorder)
- Eating disorders
- Behavioural problems of children
- CBT management of ADHD in Children
- Relationship problems
- Alcohol abuse and addiction
